Differential crown gear z57 MD RACING for Ape 50
Description
Special crown created to repair and make the Ape 50 differential more durable, especially if subjected to processing.
As is known, the crown of the Ape 50 differential is made of cast iron, while the pinion is made of casehardened steel, a much harder material than cast iron.
This difference in hardness causes the weaker material to wear away.
To overcome the problem, MD racing provides the Z57 crown to be applied on the damaged differential block.
Installation requires lathe machining and subsequent drilling + countersinking for the m6 x 14mm fixing screws, strength 10.9 or higher.
The crown has m6 threaded holes so it does not require a counter nut on the opposite side.
The internal grinding both in circumference and at the stop makes the coupling very precise.
